New Brand Alert: The Fortunate

Something that amazes me most about Chicago is the people in it. They go for the gold and don't stop for anything. One of my dear friends, Imani Wimberly, along with six of his other friends, decided to start a clothing line.

The Fortunate

Started by 7 African American men from Chicago, the line represents difference. Being as fortunate as these men are & being able to do something bigger than themselves was their main goal. They desribe themselves as the talented tenth that W.E.B. DuBois spoke about and are working to empower the black community. Always trying to think outside of the box and create difference, this group of young and talented men give deeper meaning to everything.

Their first tee released is titled 'Go For Broke and shows a group of men shooting craps.

Their message: Win it all, make it big & don't be afraid to lose it all in the process!

Life Update v. 102

Hey everyone!!

Here to update you and everything I'm up to!

So, just a couple of weeks ago, I received an email to come in for an interview for Factor Women Model Management as an intern.

Guess what? I GOT THE PART!

More excited than you know. I've been non- stop busy with internships, events, work, family, and sometimes I can squeeze some time in for myself.

I dressed models for the Chanel lunch show yesterday at the Chanel Michigan Avenue location. Such a huge step for me & glad I can add that to my resume.

I'm at the agency and working! So talk to you guys later! :)
